About Indie Short Fest and Independent Shorts Awards
LA-based Indie Short Fest is an international film competition with special screenings and Q&A all year round and a red-carpet annual awards event. By honoring a sizable number of projects in numerous categories, Indie Short Fest creates a thorough hierarchy of the most notable films or series on the festival circuit each month.
On the other hand, an annual awards event is held at Regal Cinemas LA Live in Los Angeles as part of the Independent Shorts Awards, an international short film festival with red-carpet screenings and Q&A sessions all year. The Oscar-nominated animated short “Umbrella” (Brazil), the Oscar-nominated documentary short “After Skid Row” (USA), the Oscar-nominated live-action short “Cognition” (UK), and the Sony-acquired “One Last Last Heist” were all supported by Independent Shorts Awards over the past six years.
